Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Altamonte Springs, Florida

Overview: We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our educational team in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The successful candidate will provide outstanding speech and language therapy services to students within the public school system, supporting their communication and learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of students' speech and language abilities.
  • Design and implement customized therapy plans based on individual assessments.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students with communication disorders.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering professional expertise on speech and language goals.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Florida state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Professional Educator Certificate from the Florida Department of Education (required for public school positions).
  • Previous experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required Licensure and Certifications:

  • Florida State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Florida Department of Education Professional Educator Certificate in Speech-Language Impaired (K-12)
