This position is focused on providing essential services to preschool students, including assessments, clinic services, and Headstart programs. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of preschool students to identify speech and language disorders or delays.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals for students based on assessment findings.
  • Provide speech therapy services to students through individual or group sessions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering valuable insights and recommendations for student support.
  • Provide training and support to teachers and staff on strategies to promote speech and language development in the classroom.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of student assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • California licensure in Speech-Language Pathology and certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children, conducting assessments, and providing speech therapy services.
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development in young children.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Dedication to promoting speech and language skills in early childhood education.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to address the unique needs of preschool students.
