This is a full-time position for the entire school year, with a commitment from ASAP through May 28, 2024. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's specific communication goals.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to integrate speech and language strategies into the classroom.
- Monitor and document student progress, collecting data and reporting outcomes to the educational team.
- Offer guidance and support to students in improving their speech and language abilities, fostering effective communication.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in speech and language pathology.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages communication and language development.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Indiana state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong commitment to providing high-quality speech and language services to students.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and other professionals.
- Dedication to creating an inclusive and equitable learning environment.
- Availability to work full-time for the duration of the school year (ASAP - 5/28/2024).
