Soliant is thrilled to announce an opening for a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join a well-regarded school district near Homewood, Illinois. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to provide speech and language therapy services to students from PreK to 8th grade. If you are a qualified Speech Language Pathologist and available to start immediately, we encourage you to apply for this position, which is available until May 29, 2024.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans for students.
  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to students, addressing a caseload of approximately 50 students from PreK to 8th grade.
  • Develop and implement therapy sessions that are tailored to the individual needs and goals of each student.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to integrate effective communication strategies into the classroom.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute valuable insights to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Educate students, families, and staff members on best practices for maintaining and improving speech and language skills.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and developments in the field of speech language pathology, integrating new techniques and approaches into practice.

Qualifications:

  • A valid Illinois state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Dedication to providing high-quality speech and language services to students with diverse needs.
  • Ability to work full-time, 37.5 hours per week, to support the educational needs of students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work with students of varying ages, from PreK to 8th grade.
  • Availability to start as soon as possible and commit to the position until May 29, 2024.
