Position Details:

  • Duration: August 9, 2023 - June 7, 2024
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Schedule: 8:00 am - 3:30 pm
  • Caseload: Elementary School

Responsibilities: As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in providing speech therapy services to elementary school students. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and in collaboration with the IEP team.
  • Providing direct speech therapy services to students, targeting areas such as articulation, language comprehension, expressive language, and social communication.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into the students' educational plans and activities.
  • Documenting all therapy sessions and student progress to ensure accurate record keeping.
  • Communicating effectively with the school staff and parents regarding students' therapy goals and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in California.
  • Previous experience working with elementary school students, preferably in a school or clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and techniques for speech and language disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
