Soliant is excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for a passionate Speech Language Pathologist to join a thriving school district near Oakland, California. This is a fulfilling role that offers the chance to work with an elementary caseload, serving students from Transitional Kindergarten to 5th grade. Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 31 students.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' communication and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each student's unique goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to create a comprehensive approach to student development.
- Deliver therapy services in both individual and group settings, tailoring interventions to meet students' needs.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and provide input on students' goals and progress.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in speech and language pathology.
Qualifications:
- A valid California license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field from an accredited program.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility for ASHA certification.
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations, especially within an educational setting, is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to assess and address a diverse range of speech and language disorders.
- Flexibility to work 4 days a week, totaling approximately 30 hours, in a single elementary building.
- Passion for helping students achieve their communication and language goals.
