Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to evaluate students' communication abilities and determine appropriate therapy goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to students' unique communication needs.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to integrate effective communication strategies into the classroom.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Educate students, families, and staff members on best practices for maintaining and improving speech and language skills.
  • Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology, integrating innovative techniques into therapy.

Qualifications:

  • A valid Florida state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Strong commitment to providing high-quality speech and language services to students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and other professionals.
  • Dedication to creating an inclusive and equitable learning environment.
  • Availability to work for the full school year.
