Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a reputable school district near Scranton, Pennsylvania. This is a full-time position with a focus on serving itinerant students in local preschools. The SLP will play a crucial role in supporting students' speech and language development while working collaboratively with educational teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech and language disorders in preschool-aged students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs and communication goals of each student.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in various preschool settings, both individually and in group sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, special education teams, and parents to integrate speech therapy goals into Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Offer guidance and support to educators and staff on effective strategies to promote communication skills in the classroom.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, therapy sessions, and student progress.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to discuss therapy objectives, progress, and strategies for enhancing speech and language skills at home.
  • Stay current with best practices, research, and developments in the field of speech-language pathology.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist license.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is required.
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to manage caseload responsibilities efficiently.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain all required Pennsylvania clearances.
