Apply NowSoliant is delighted to announce an immediate opening for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join a well-regarded school district near Seaford, Delaware. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide speech and language therapy services to students, contributing to their academic and communication success. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders and determine individualized therapy needs.
- Develop and implement customized therapy plans to address students' unique speech and language goals.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to integrate effective communication strategies into the classroom.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute valuable insights to the multidisciplinary team.
- Educate students, families, and staff members on best practices for maintaining and improving speech and language skills.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and developments in the field of speech-language pathology, integrating new techniques and approaches into practice.
Qualifications:
- A valid Delaware state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and other professionals.
- Dedication to providing high-quality speech and language services to students.
- Ability to work full-time, 37.5 hours per week, to support the educational needs of students.
- Availability to start as soon as possible and commit to the position until May 24, 2024.
