This full-time position focuses on serving an elementary school caseload within a school system that employs a workload model, ensuring a manageable caseload. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech and language needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized speech therapy plans that align with each student's specific communication objectives.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, both in individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to integrate speech and language strategies into the educational curriculum.
  • Monitor and document student progress, collecting data and reporting outcomes to the educational team.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring that students receive appropriate services and accommodations.
  • Utilize the workload model to manage and prioritize caseload effectively.
  • Support students in improving their speech and language abilities, fostering effective communication skills.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid Texas state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Previous experience in a school setting or with school-aged children is preferred.
  • Strong commitment to providing high-quality speech and language services to students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and other professionals.
  • Dedication to creating an inclusive and equitable educational environment.
