Soliant is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join a well-respected school district near Sterling Heights, Michigan, for the 2023-24 school year. This full-time position focuses on serving students in the PreK-5th age group, providing speech and language therapy services to support their communication development and academic success. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders and formulate individualized therapy plans.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, addressing their unique goals and needs.
  • Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and parents to integrate speech and language strategies into the classroom environment.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute valuable insights to the educational team.
  • Offer guidance and support to students, families, and staff members on best practices for improving communication skills.
  • Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in speech-language pathology, incorporating innovative techniques into therapy.

Qualifications:

  • A valid Michigan state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Strong commitment to providing high-quality speech and language services to students.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and other professionals.
  • Dedication to supporting the communication development of students in the PreK-5th age group.
  • Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 3 pm.
  • Willingness to work across three schools within close proximity, with minimal travel, as all schools are no more than 10-15 minutes apart.
