Soliant Health is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school district in Dayton, TX for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a full-time position that requires onsite presence, providing speech and language therapy services to students in the district.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and student IEPs
- Provide direct therapy services to students with various speech and language disorders, addressing articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic difficulties
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop effective strategies and interventions for students' communication and academic success
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of students' individualized education plans
- Keep accurate records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and other required documentation
- Stay updated with the latest research, best practices, and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution
- Valid Texas state license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Texas
- ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification is preferred
- Prior experience working as an SLP in a school or pediatric setting is highly desired
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and interventions for students with speech and language disorders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and the multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of students with diverse needs
- Familiarity with IEP processes and experience attending IEP meetings
