Soliant Health is partnering with a school district in Sherman, TX, to hire a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a full-time position that will involve working with elementary school students with a variety of speech and language needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech and language abilities and needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific speech and language goals
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills in the classroom and other educational environments
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of students' individualized education plans
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff regarding strategies for promoting speech and language development in the classroom
  • Stay up to date with current research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited university
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in the state of Texas
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred
  • Experience working with elementary school students, particularly those with diverse speech and language needs, is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of a variety of assessment tools and evidence-based therapeutic techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage caseload and documentation requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
