Soliant Health is partnering with a school district in Sherman, TX, to hire a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a full-time position that will involve working with elementary school students with a variety of speech and language needs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech and language abilities and needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific speech and language goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills in the classroom and other educational environments
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of students' individualized education plans
- Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff regarding strategies for promoting speech and language development in the classroom
- Stay up to date with current research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited university
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in the state of Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred
- Experience working with elementary school students, particularly those with diverse speech and language needs, is highly desirable
- Knowledge of a variety of assessment tools and evidence-based therapeutic techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage caseload and documentation requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
