Requirements: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, North Carolina State Licensure
Pay Range: $35-$55 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Warrenton, NC. As an SLP, you will work in a school-based setting to provide speech and language therapy services to students. You will be helping students achieve their communication goals, ensuring they are equipped with the skills they need to succeed both academically and socially. This position is perfect for an experienced SLP or a Clinical Fellow (CF) who is passionate about working with children and making a positive impact on their education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform speech and language evaluations to assess students’ communication abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and student needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies that support students' communication goals.
- Track and document students’ progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings to provide input on students' goals and educational plans.
- Provide ongoing guidance and training to parents and school staff on techniques to support communication development.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines regarding therapy services.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Active North Carolina State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for helping students grow and succeed in their communication skills.
