Soliant Health is currently seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in Redwood City, CA, for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a full-time position, consisting of 35 hours per week, and will involve working onsite with high school students to provide speech and language therapy services.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate high school students' speech and language abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and students' communication goals
  • Provide direct therapy services to high school students with speech and language disorders, both in individual and group settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills in the high school environment
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
  • Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of students' individualized education plans
  • Provide guidance and support to SLPAs (Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants) in delivering therapy services, if applicable
  • Stay up to date with current research and evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant documentation

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited university
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in the state of California
  • Experience working with high school students with speech and language disorders, preferably in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of assessment tools, therapy techniques, and intervention strategies for speech and language disorders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
