Soliant Health is currently seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in Redwood City, CA, for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a full-time position, consisting of 35 hours per week, and will involve working onsite with high school students to provide speech and language therapy services.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate high school students' speech and language abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and students' communication goals
- Provide direct therapy services to high school students with speech and language disorders, both in individual and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills in the high school environment
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of students' individualized education plans
- Provide guidance and support to SLPAs (Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants) in delivering therapy services, if applicable
- Stay up to date with current research and evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology
- Maintain accurate and timely records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant documentation
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited university
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in the state of California
- Experience working with high school students with speech and language disorders, preferably in an educational setting
- Knowledge of assessment tools, therapy techniques, and intervention strategies for speech and language disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
