Soliant Health is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in San Jose, CA for the 23-24 school year. This is a full-time, onsite position with the caseload to be discussed during the interview process.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and students' communication goals
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, targeting areas such as articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatics
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills within the academic setting
  • Monitor and document students' progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed
  • Attend IEP meetings and actively participate in the development and review of students' individualized education plans
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers and staff regarding strategies for promoting communication and language development in the classroom

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited university
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in the state of California
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of assessment tools, therapy techniques, and intervention strategies for speech and language disorders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
