Soliant Health is currently seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in Stratford, CT. This position involves providing services for both the Extended School Year (ESY) program and the 23-24 school year. The caseload will primarily consist of PreK students. This is a full-time onsite position.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate the speech and language abilities of PreK students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving their speech and language skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication development in the classroom and home settings
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute to the development and review of students' goals and objectives
- Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff in implementing strategies to enhance students' communication skills
- Stay updated on current research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited university
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Connecticut
- Experience working with PreK students and knowledge of early childhood speech and language development
- Familiarity with assessment tools, therapy techniques, and intervention strategies for speech and language disorders in young children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Dedication to providing high-quality services to students and supporting their overall development
