Soliant Health is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in Des Plaines, IL, for the first semester of the 2023-2024 school year. As an SLP, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive speech and language services to students, helping them overcome communication challenges and achieve their academic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing students' speech and language abilities through evaluations and screenings
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders
- Conducting therapy sessions to improve students' speech, language, and communication skills
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create effective intervention strategies
- Monitoring students' progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Documenting and maintaining accurate records of student assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state license or eligibility for licensure in Illinois
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
