Soliant Health is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in Santa Cruz, CA, for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a full-time position with 37.5 hours per week, and it is an onsite role. Extended School Year (ESY) hours are also available for interested candidates.
As an SLP, you will have the opportunity to work closely with students and help them overcome speech and language challenges. Your role will involve assessments, therapy sessions, collaboration with teachers and parents, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of students' speech and language abilities
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders
- Providing therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and communication skills
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create effective intervention strategies
- Monitoring and documenting students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Participating in IEP meetings and providing input regarding speech and language goals
- Administering and interpreting standardized tests as necessary
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state license or eligibility for licensure in California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
