Soliant Health is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a reputable school district in Fairfield, CA. This is a full-time onsite position for the 23-24 school year. The district has multiple caseloads available, providing an excellent opportunity to work with diverse student populations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on students' specific needs and goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students with communication disorders or delays
- Address various speech and language areas, including articulation, language comprehension and expression, fluency, and social communication skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' communication development in the classroom and other settings
- Monitor students' progress, adjust therapy plans as needed, and maintain accurate documentation of services provided
- Attend and actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute to the development and review of students' goals and objectives
- Provide guidance and supervision to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), if applicable
- Stay updated with the latest research and evidence-based practices in the field of speech-language pathology
- Offer consultation and support to teachers and staff regarding effective strategies and accommodations for students with communication needs
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Clinical Fellows (CFs) and experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are encouraged to apply
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapy skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dedication to providing high-quality services and supporting students' overall communication development
