Soliant Health is currently seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in Faribault, MN for the 23-24 school year. This is a full-time position with a commitment of 40 hours per week, requiring onsite work at the designated school within the district. The specific caseload for the SLP will be discussed during the interview process, allowing the candidate to work with a population that aligns with their experience and interests.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet each student's specific communication goals and needs
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders or delays
- Address various speech and language areas, such as articulation, phonology, language comprehension and expression, fluency, and social communication skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' communication development in academic and social settings
- Monitor and document students' progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans as needed
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development and review of students' goals and objectives
- Offer consultation and training to teachers and staff on effective strategies and accommodations for students with communication needs
- Stay updated on current research and evidence-based practices in the field of speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Minnesota
- Previous experience working with students in a school setting is preferred
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapy skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to providing high-quality services and supporting students' overall communication development
