Soliant Health is currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in San Bernardino, CA for the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This is a temporary position that will span from June 1st to August 1st, focusing on providing services to a preschool caseload. The position requires working onsite within the school district.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech and language needs in the preschool population
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and student goals
- Provide direct therapy services to preschool students with various speech and language disorders or delays
- Address areas such as articulation, phonology, expressive and receptive language, fluency, and social communication skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' communication needs during the ESY program
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute to goal development and progress monitoring for the preschool students
- Document and track student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student evaluations, therapy sessions, and reports during the ESY period
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in California
- Previous experience working as an SLP in a school or pediatric setting, with experience in the preschool population preferred
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapy skills specific to preschool-aged students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines in the field of speech-language pathology
