We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team for the upcoming '23-'24 school year. Position Overview: As a Speech Language Pathologist in our district, you will play a vital role in assessing and supporting students with speech and language difficulties. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse K-12 caseload throughout the district. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to provide interventions, develop individualized treatment plans, and help students overcome their communication challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other team members to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Implement evidence-based interventions and therapy techniques to address students' speech and language needs
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups
- Monitor student progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports
- Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge, resources, and best practices
- Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent conferences as needed
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Minnesota
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) or eligible for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Passion for helping students reach their full potential in communication skills
