Caseload: K-12, available throughout the district

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team for the upcoming '23-'24 school year. As a district committed to fostering a positive learning environment, we value the contributions of our speech-language pathologists in helping our students develop their communication skills.

Position Overview: As a Speech Language Pathologist in our district, you will play a vital role in assessing and supporting students with speech and language difficulties. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse K-12 caseload throughout the district. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to provide interventions, develop individualized treatment plans, and help students overcome their communication challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other team members to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
  • Implement evidence-based interventions and therapy techniques to address students' speech and language needs
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups
  • Monitor student progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge, resources, and best practices
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent conferences as needed

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Minnesota
  • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) or eligible for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Passion for helping students reach their full potential in communication skills
