Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Location: Spencerport, NY
Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. The SLPA will support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists by implementing therapy plans, conducting therapy sessions, and helping clients achieve their communication goals.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of individualized therapy plans as directed by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Conduct therapy sessions with individuals or small groups, focusing on areas such as speech, language, and communication skills.
• Document client progress and maintain accurate and detailed records.
• Prepare and organize therapy materials and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to support therapy objectives.
• Provide feedback and observations to the supervising SLP to help adjust treatment plans as needed.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field.
• Current SLPA licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Prior experience in a clinical or educational setting is preferred but not required.
