Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Lowell, MA. As an SLPA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to provide support and assistance in the delivery of speech and language services to students. Responsibilities:
- Assist the SLP in conducting evaluations and assessments to identify students' speech and language needs
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on the SLP's recommendations
- Provide direct therapy services to students with communication disorders
- Document and maintain accurate records of student progress and treatment plans
- Collaborate with the SLP, teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote communication skills in the classroom and at home
- Attend meetings and training sessions related to speech and language services
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent in Speech Language Pathology or related field
- Certification as an SLPA by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals and communicate effectively with parents
