Apply NowA position is available for a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) with a local school district for the upcoming academic year. The SLPA will work under the supervision of an SLP-CCC or supervisor to diagnose and evaluate speech, language, and communication disorders, and collaborate with the director supervisor to develop treatment plans. The caseload will be determined by the school district. The director is now accepting applications and conducting interviews for interested candidates.
Responsibilities of the role include diagnosing and treating communication disorders, performing screenings to detect speech or voice disorders, educating patients and families about speech disorders and their causes, and maintaining detailed records of patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress.
Candidates should have previous experience in the SLPA setting, and experience in a school setting is preferred. A bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology or an equivalent field is required, and an SLPA certification license is also required.
This is a full-time, contract position.
