Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in San Francisco, CA for the 2023-2024 school year. As an SLPA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support the communication needs of students. The pay range for this role is: $35-47 an hr. depending on experiance.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting screenings and assessments of students' speech and language skills
  • Implement therapy plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups
  • Assist with data collection and progress monitoring for students' treatment goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other team members to support students' communication development
  • Help create and maintain a positive and inclusive therapy environment
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines for documentation and record-keeping
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information and adhere to ethical standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
  • Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and strategies
  • Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) systems is a plus
