We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at a school near Little Rock, Arkansas. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of preschool students while working within a supportive and collaborative educational environment. The position is for the duration of the academic year, from August 10, 2023, to May 30, 2024.

Responsibilities:
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing assessment, diagnosis, and intervention services to preschool students with communication disorders. Your main duties will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations to determine the students' speech and language needs.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
  • Providing direct therapy services to students, both in individual and group settings.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop appropriate strategies and support for students.
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress and adjusting intervention plans as needed.
  • Conducting regular communication with parents and caregivers regarding students' progress and strategies for generalization of skills.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility for clinical fellowship (CFY).
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Arkansas.
  • Experience or knowledge in working with preschool-aged students and familiarity with early childhood language development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a caseload effectively.

Work Details:

  • This is a full-time position, requiring 35 hours per week.
  • The caseload will consist of preschool students.
  • The position is onsite only and will require travel to three different locations within the school district.
