Staff Pharmacist - Closed-Door Long Term Care Pharmacy

We have a high-demand need for a Staff Pharmacist to join our closed-door long term care pharmacy. This position provides a unique and rewarding experience in a dynamic healthcare environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for retail pharmacists looking to transition into a specialized field! 

Start: ASAP End: 6-8 weeks (with potential for extension)

Shift: Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM (with rotating weekends shift from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM) ROTATING WEEKENDS ARE REQUIRED

COVID VACCINE HIGHLY PREFERRED, NOT REQUIRED

Requirements:

• Must hold an active IN (Indiana) pharmacist license in-hand
• Retail pharmacists are welcomed and encouraged to apply
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle high volume and manage multiple tasks effectively

Duties: As a Staff Pharmacist in our closed-door long term care pharmacy, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Checking and verifying prescriptions
• Supervising pharmacy technicians
• Ensuring accuracy and quality in dispensing medications
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
• Adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• Retail pharmacist background with experience managing high volume
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in prescription verification
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
