Position Details:
- Job Title: Occupational Therapist
- Contract Type: Part-Time, Summer Position
- Duration: June 8 - July 7
- Hours: 8:15am-12:45pm
- Location: Near Mountain View, California
Responsibilities: As an Occupational Therapist in our summer program, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic services to students within the designated timeframe. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting assessments to evaluate students' functional abilities and occupational therapy needs.
- Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans based on assessment results and in collaboration with the IEP team.
- Delivering direct occupational therapy services to students, addressing areas such as fine motor skills, sensory integration, visual perception, and daily living skills.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into the students' educational plans and daily activities.
- Documenting all therapy sessions and student progress to ensure accurate record keeping.
- Communicating effectively with the school staff and parents regarding students' therapy goals and progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of California.
- Previous experience working with school-age children, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
- Knowledge of assessment tools and techniques for occupational therapy interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
