Soliant is seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a part-time summer position near Waukegan, Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP to make a difference in the lives of students during the summer break. As an SLP, you will provide speech and language therapy services to help students overcome communication challenges and enhance their overall communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Provide therapy sessions to students, both individually and in groups, focusing on areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, and language.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
- Educate and involve parents in the therapy process, providing resources and strategies to support their child's communication development at home.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required records.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, trends, and techniques in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Illinois.
- Prior experience working as an SLP, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment methods, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
- Ability to create a positive and supportive environment for students.
- Proficiency in using technology and software applications relevant to speech-language pathology.
