Providing skilled rehabilitative care in a hospital setting, this opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) focused on improving patient outcomes. You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, delivering evidence-based interventions to patients with cognitive and physical functioning disorders.

Responsibilities include administering therapeutic activities such as ADL retraining, therapeutic exercises, and the use of assistive devices. You will assess patient progress, communicate treatment effectiveness, and contribute to discharge summaries while maintaining accurate electronic documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and supporting families and caregivers are essential components of this role. Participation in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and ongoing training ensures quality care delivery.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current licensure/registration as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state.
  • Experience in hospital or acute care therapy settings preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Ability to document and report treatment accurately in electronic health records.
  • Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Commitment to adhering to NBCOT, AOTA, and state practice acts and ethical standards.
