Support patient rehabilitation and independence in a dynamic healthcare environment located in Gower, MO. This role assists Occupational Therapists in delivering therapy treatments aimed at enhancing patients’ mobility and overall physical health. The position is contract-based, offering the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient care while gaining valuable experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting patients in performing exercises and following treatment plans tailored to their needs
  • Monitoring and documenting patient progress to ensure effective recovery
  • Encouraging and motivating patients throughout their rehabilitation journey
  • Supporting injured individuals in improving motor skills to facilitate return to work
  • Teaching patients with disabilities strategies for greater independence
  • Updating patient records and maintaining thorough documentation for the Occupational Therapist
  • Ensuring treatment areas and equipment are organized and well-maintained
  • Educating patients, families, and caregivers on techniques to support ongoing therapy at home

Desired Experience:

  • Prior experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and support patients
  • Familiarity with therapeutic and self-care activities aimed at improving quality of life
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
