Occupational Therapy Aide | Savannah, Missouri

Support patient recovery and rehabilitation as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, working closely with Occupational Therapists to deliver tailored therapy treatments aimed at improving mobility and physical health. Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and treatment plans designed by Occupational Therapists
• Monitor and document patient progress to ensure effective completion of therapies
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process
• Provide support to injured employees in improving motor skills for workforce re-entry
• Teach patients, family members, and caregivers skills and techniques relevant to treatment programs
• Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
• Ensure therapy areas and equipment are clean and well-organized

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Experience working in hospital or clinical settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to encourage and motivate patients
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and patients' families
