An experienced Occupational Therapist is needed for a contract position providing home health care in Arroyo Grande, CA. This role focuses on delivering therapy services within a designated geographical region, attending to patients with orthopedic conditions, strokes, joint and spinal injuries, and speech-related diagnoses. The position offers a flexible schedule primarily Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a weekend requirement every third weekend and coverage for minor holidays.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience
  • Active California OT license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Familiarity with Oasis documentation standards (government-mandated forms)
  • Experience in home health care preferred but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records, specifically Cerner
  • Ability to work within a home-based care team including PT, OT, and Speech specialists

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and deliver occupational therapy treatments to patients in their homes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care plans
  • Complete required documentation accurately and timely using Oasis and Cerner systems
  • Participate in orientation and ongoing training as needed
  • Maintain professional attire consisting of business wear and a white lab coat
