Provide specialized occupational therapy services in an inpatient acute care setting focused on rehabilitation. This assignment offers a chance to work in a dynamic hospital environment serving a diverse patient population. Ideal candidates are independent practitioners experienced in acute care situations who can adapt to a rotating schedule including weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and treatments tailored to patient needs
- Manage a caseload averaging 8-10 patients daily in an acute care rehab unit
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PTs, SLPs, nurses, and CNAs
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation and care coordination
- Participate in weekend shift rotations and comply with unit policies and protocols
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist certification required
- Previous acute care experience mandatory; experience in inpatient rehab highly preferred
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced acute hospital setting
- Alaska state fingerprint and background clearance (or provisional status) required before starting
Schedule:
- 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
- Rotating schedule including 2-3 weekends per month
