Job Type Contract

Provide specialized occupational therapy services directly in patients’ homes, addressing physical and cognitive impairments resulting from injury, disease, or disability. This role involves working with a diverse patient population, from infants to seniors, to support their rehabilitation and improve their quality of life. Collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals is essential to develop individualized care plans and coordinate comprehensive services.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current Occupational Therapist licensure registered with the Board of Registration in Massachusetts
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or homecare settings
  • At least one year of certified home care occupational therapy experience
  • Proficiency with various computer software; familiarity with handheld patient care devices preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to engage effectively with diverse populations
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to evolving clinical situations
  • Willingness to travel within the designated geographic area

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services in patients’ residences across the designated homecare region
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify physical and cognitive therapy needs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, family members, and other healthcare professionals
  • Manage technical, environmental, and financial resources related to patient care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and utilize electronic health records
