This opportunity involves providing Occupational Therapy services in a hospital setting focused on critical illness and rehabilitation. The role is contract-based and located in Grosse Pointe, MI.
Key responsibilities include assessing patients’ level of functioning upon physician orders and developing individualized treatment plans based on evaluations and patient goals. You will actively participate in interdisciplinary team processes, discharge planning, and provide patient and family education including adaptive equipment usage. Supervision of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and OT/COTA students is required, along with assisting in new staff orientation. Accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, daily progress notes, and discharge plans, is essential. Promoting patient and employee safety by adhering to safety protocols, maintaining confidentiality, and demonstrating excellent customer service at all times is critical. You will also be expected to contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and collaborate effectively with team members.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with hospital-based experience
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement appropriate occupational therapy treatments
- Experience supervising COTAs and students preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills

- Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team
