A California-based hospital is seeking a skilled Home Health Occupational Therapist for a travel contract position in the Grover Beach area. This role involves providing expert OT services in a home health setting, primarily covering a designated geographic region. Ideal candidates will bring a minimum of two years of relevant experience, hold an active California OT license, and maintain BLS certification. Experience with Oasis documentation and proficiency in Cerner EMR are essential for success.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver home-based occupational therapy services to patients with various diagnoses, including orthopedic conditions, strokes, joint and spinal injuries.
  • Collaborate with physical therapy and speech therapy teams within the home health unit.
  • Adhere to documentation standards using Oasis forms and Cerner EMR platform.
  • Provide care mainly Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with weekend coverage required every third weekend and some minor holiday availability.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, wearing business attire with a white lab coat.

Qualifications:

  • Active California Occupational Therapist license.
  • At least two years of experience in occupational therapy.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Familiarity with Oasis documentation system.
  • Experience in home health care preferred.
  • Comfortable working within a geographic region and adapting to patient needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary rehab teams.
