A healthcare role is available in Houghton Lake, MI, providing rehabilitation services in both acute and outpatient settings. This contract position involves comprehensive patient evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and supervising support staff to enhance patient outcomes consistent with occupational therapy standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct formal and informal assessments of patients’ physical, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, developmental, social, and cognitive functions.
- Design and update goal-specific treatment regimens in alignment with physician orders and patient tolerance.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatment rationale, and rehabilitation techniques.
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, Home Health Aides, and students to ensure quality care delivery.
- Recommend and facilitate access to adaptive equipment supporting patient needs.
- Maintain real-time documentation for treatment, billing, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members and participate in program development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Uphold confidentiality and demonstrate professional communication skills.
- Manage assigned cases and promote occupational therapy services within the community.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure to practice in the state.
