Occupational Therapist – Home Health | Missoula, MT | Contract

A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered care in the home health setting within the Missoula, Montana area. This role focuses on evaluating and implementing rehabilitation plans tailored to each patient’s needs while collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and establish individualized plans of care for patients in their home environments.
  • Provide skilled direct patient care, modifying treatment frequency and duration as necessary, following evidence-based occupational therapy guidelines and Medicare regulations.
  • Perform CMS OASIS assessments, collaborating with quality teams to support compliance and patient outcomes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary care conferences and communicate effectively with physicians and team members.
  • Document all skilled services and patient interactions accurately in compliance with agency and regulatory standards.
  • Manage productivity standards, time logs, mileage, and scheduling for efficient patient visits.
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and, when necessary, certified nursing assistants.
  • Maintain licensure requirements and engage in continuing education and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Current Montana state license to practice Occupational Therapy.
  • Valid driver’s license and appropriate automobile insurance.
  • Preferred minimum of two years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Knowledge of Medicare requirements and home health regulations.
