Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient functioning based on physician orders and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning.
  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, OT students, and COTA students.
  • Document all treatments and progress accurately and promptly according to departmental policies.
  • Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to established safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure a collaborative care approach.
  • Assist in new staff orientation and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Manage scheduling flexibility and maintain professionalism in attendance and appearance.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with hospital therapy experience.
  • Strong knowledge of patient assessment, treatment planning, and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Ability to supervise and mentor OT assistants and students.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safety standards and quality care.
