A Physical Therapist is responsible for planning and implementing rehabilitation programs that help patients improve physical function following an injury, surgery, or manage symptoms from degenerative conditions. This role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care primarily in an outpatient setting, with a smaller inpatient component.

Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited physical therapy program
- Experience working directly with patients in long-term care or hospital settings
- Current Physical Therapist state license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Strong documentation skills and excellent verbal communication
- Ability to provide age-appropriate care and work effectively as part of a healthcare team
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ physical conditions, symptoms, and medical histories
- Diagnose movement dysfunctions and develop individualized treatment plans
- Teach therapeutic exercises and perform hands-on therapy techniques such as massage
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
- Communicate patient progress to families, providers, and care committees
- Collaborate with other therapists and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain patient confidentiality and foster sensitive, compassionate interactions
- Participate in professional development, departmental meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
