A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Physical Therapist specializing in hospital-based therapy. This contract position is located in Crivitz, WI, at a community hospital focused on acute care rehabilitation.
This 55-bed facility provides a comprehensive outpatient rehab program nearby and serves a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics, with cases including general orthopedics, low back pain, hip and knee pain, post-surgical recovery, and neurological conditions. You will have a 1:1 patient ratio, ensuring that you can provide personalized care with the support of other therapists and a PT assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled physical therapy services using manual therapy, exercise techniques, mechanical traction, and gait training
- Provide care to patients recovering from surgery and with various orthopedic and neurological diagnoses
- Utilize EPIC for accurate and timely documentation
- Participate in weekend rotation approximately once every eight weeks
- Adhere to facility protocols, including maintaining a business casual dress code
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid BLS certification required
- Manual therapy skills; vestibular training is a plus
- Willingness to learn blood flow restriction techniques; experience not mandatory
- Comfortable working with a range of patient ages and conditions
- Ability to complete a 1-3 day orientation period
Facility Details: This community hospital is located one hour north of Green Bay, offering free parking and a supportive work environment with no on-call requirements. Time off approval allows up to seven days, with one summer and one winter holiday expected. Staff adhere to a business casual dress code.
