Embark on a fulfilling role as an outpatient physical therapist, providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population with a strong emphasis on orthopedic and post-surgical rehabilitation. This contract assignment is ideal for therapists passionate about fostering positive outcomes for patients in a collaborative hospital setting.
Schedule/Hours
- Monday–Friday
- Choice of 8- or 10-hour shifts
- Typical hours: 8 am–5 pm, with options for shifts starting at 7 am or ending at 6 pm (for 10-hour days)
- No on-call, no weekends, or overtime
- Every other holiday required
Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in the State of Ohio
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, current and active
- Minimum of 1 year of outpatient PT experience
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Bachelor’s required; Doctorate preferred)
- Specialty certifications such as OCS, SCS, NDT, Lymphedema, or Women’s Health are a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with orthopedic, joint replacement, rotator cuff repair, mild neurological, and geriatric patients
- Comfortable using patient transfer equipment (Sara Steady, Hoyer)
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate closely with patients, families, and an interdisciplinary treatment team
- Select and apply evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions to maximize recovery and independence
- Monitor patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed
- Complete necessary documentation, pre-certification, and authorization requirements
- Provide patient and caregiver education for home care and discharge planning
- Contribute to team goals, clinical education, process improvement, and departmental initiatives
- Participate in ongoing professional development
