This role focuses on providing physical therapy services within a hospital setting, aimed at facilitating patient recovery and safe return to community activities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop effective treatment plans aligned with physician directives.
  • Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
  • Design functional treatment programs tailored to patient needs for optimal recovery.
  • Educate patients, families, students, and coworkers regarding therapy goals and progress.
  • Document patient care clearly and timely, fulfilling all regulatory and hospital policy requirements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage patient discharge and coordinate necessary equipment and training.
  • Participate in student training programs, providing supervision and evaluation.
  • Maintain licensure, adhere to ethical standards, and engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to safety protocols and reporting hazards.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid licensure in physical therapy as per state requirements.
  • Experience in hospital-based physical therapy, preferably with critical illness and rehabilitation patients.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and ability to manage diverse caseloads.
  • Commitment to professional ethics and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and effective communication skills.
