A skilled Physical Therapist is sought for a contract role delivering specialized care in a dynamic hospital setting focused on inpatient rehabilitation. This position centers on treating patients with cerebrovascular accidents (CVA), neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, cardiac issues, and general debility. The role offers the opportunity to work primarily in Inpatient Rehab, with occasional float assignments to the acute hospital.

Scheduled hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with additional shifts available every Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on an alternating basis. When working a Saturday, the following Monday will be off, providing a balanced workweek. Candidates should hold current BLS certification and have a minimum of one year of relevant experience, preferably in inpatient acute care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or outpatient therapy. Experience with stroke rehabilitation is highly desirable.

The unit features 150 beds with an 85% utilization rate and is equipped with advanced rehabilitation tools such as Bioness L300, Vector, Erigo, and BITS, alongside a fully stocked rehab gym. Electronic medical records are managed through EPIC. The environment is fast-paced, requiring flexibility, teamwork, and adaptability.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in inpatient acute care, rehab, or outpatient settings
  • Experience with stroke rehab and neuro patients preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including every other Saturday

Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic interventions for patients with CVA, neuro, ortho, cardiac, debility, and trauma diagnoses
  • Utilize specialized rehab equipment effectively
  • Document patient progress accurately in EPIC system
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
