A Physical Therapist is needed for a contract position focused on patient rehabilitation to enhance mobility, function, and strength. This role is based in Los Osos, CA, serving at a Central Coast location known for its commitment to physical therapy excellence.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients following physical therapy rehabilitation programs.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to document evaluations, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Guide patient care and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Aides.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients to ensure coordinated, quality care.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow up on prescriptions, test results, and authorizations.
- Assist in business marketing and referral processes as needed.
- Adhere to HIPAA policies and comply with Medicare, workers’ compensation, and private insurance billing procedures.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, assisting patient transfers, and ensuring patient safety.
- Support front office staff with scheduling and patient follow-up coordination.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Degree in Physical Therapy required.
- Active Physical Therapist license in the state or eligible to obtain licensure.
- Proficient computer skills including EMR, typing, and Microsoft Word.
- Ability to supervise PT Assistants and Aides.
- Knowledge of DX and ICD-10 coding preferred.
- Experience with OSHA compliance and patient privacy regulations.
- Continuing education courses are advantageous.
Schedule:
- Preferred schedule includes four 9-hour days plus one 4-hour day (4x9’s & 1x4).
