This contract position offers a dynamic opportunity to provide physical therapy services in a well-regarded 55-bed community hospital and its nearby outpatient rehab facility. Situated in Marinette, WI, you will work with a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics, primarily focused on general orthopedics, post-surgical care, low back, hip and knee pain, and general neurological cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one physical therapy treatments utilizing manual therapy, exercise programs, mechanical traction, and light gait training.
- Engage with a multidisciplinary team including other therapists and physical therapy assistants.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using the EPIC charting system.
- Participate in a weekend rotation approximately once every eight weeks.
- Adhere to facility policies including business casual attire and BLS certification requirements.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapy license.
- Certification in BLS.
- Skills in manual therapy and exercise program implementation.
- Vestibular training preferred; willingness to learn blood flow restriction techniques provided.
- Experience with orthopedic and neurological patient populations is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work effectively without floating to other units.
- Comfortable with 1-3 day facility orientation.
Schedule and Work Environment:
- Weekend rotation scheduled once every eight weeks; no on-call duties.
- Holiday work limited to one summer and one winter holiday.
- Up to 7 days approval for time off.
- Business casual dress code.
