A Physical Therapist opportunity is available in McDonough, GA, offering a contract role focused on hospital-based rehabilitative care. This position emphasizes delivering quality therapy services to improve patient mobility, relieve pain, and enhance strength while preventing deformities associated with disease or injury.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans, adjusting goals in collaboration with patients and families.
- Conduct ongoing patient assessments jointly with physicians and revise care plans accordingly.
- Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and coordinate referrals to community resources.
- Maintain thorough documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge processes per departmental protocols.
- Adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality policies, and departmental guidelines.
- Engage in team communication, participate in meetings, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Promote a positive, respectful environment through effective use of AIDET communication principles and service recovery practices.
- Participate actively in professional development and fulfill all mandatory education and competency requirements.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
- Current Physical Therapist (PT) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (American Red Cross or equivalent).
- Strong communication and customer service skills, ability to work effectively in a team, and basic computer proficiency.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- One weekend day every 4 weeks.
